Behind The Lens

Location

This images was captured at Ricketts Glen State Park in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

Time

Best to visit the park as early as possible, due to the crowds that increase as the day goes on.

Lighting

For slow shutter and long exposure photography, it’s ideal if the sky is overcast to defuse the lighting. You can also use Neutral Density and / or Circular Polarizer filters.

Equipment

Sony a6000 Mirrorless camera, Rokinon 12mm f2 wide angle lens and Vanguard Alta Pro 254CT Carbon Fiber tripod and Benro ballhead.

Inspiration

Throughly enjoy hiking and photographing waterfalls.

Editing

My post-processing workflow consists of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) and Nik Collection plug-ins.

In my camera bag

One or two Sony a6000 cameras, a couple prime lens and ND & CP filters.

Feedback

Definitely use a tripod. You will most likely want to have either an ND or CP filter as well.
