Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo in my front garden, in Hertfordshire. It was the very day I got my new lens (55-250mm). I was outstanded by the result straight out of the camera and felt it needed no editing.Time
It was just before sunset, around 5pm.Lighting
I wanted this weed to look like a really beautiful flower, so I shot it when the English sun was at its strongest just before setting.Equipment
I used my canon 500D and a 55-250mm lens which really did all the wonderful work.Inspiration
I was playing around with the new lens, trying to make otherwise bleak looking objects look as though they were out of this world.Editing
None at all! I felt I didn't need to.In my camera bag
I usually keep my fixed lens 50mm with me at all times because it never lets me down.Feedback
I would just say to try your luck at photographing anything!! I say this because this weed, which in reality doesn't look that interesting, really came out incredible when shot at close range.
