Having lived in Seguin, Texas from August 2009 to December 2011, I'm fairly familiar with nearby San Antonio. But what I didn't have in those days was the same level of interest in photography as I have now. Or a fancy camera. Or the knowledge of how to make those cool bursts or streaks of light you see in this photo. But almost four years after leaving Seguin, the weekend immediately following Thanksgiving provided the first chance I'd had to take my camera and tripod and get some nifty shots. That it happened at a time when Christmas lights were up and dazzling everyone with their twinkly goodness was happy coincidence.
