The picture was taken in the largest church in Denmark called "Grundtvig's Church". It's an amazing building built in yellow brick and is a masterpiece in Danish architecture.Time
The picture was taken in the afternoon with soft light coming through the windows.Lighting
The light in the church changes all the time, and that's one of the reasons that it's among my favourite places to shoot. Sometimes the light is very soft as on this picture and sometimes it's very harsh.Equipment
The picture was shot with my Canon Eos 5D Mk II and my EF 15mm f/2.8 fish eye lens. Handheld and no flashInspiration
I come to this church at least 4-5 times a year. There is something about this magnificent room that just inspires me to play with light and angles.Editing
Pretty basic: Raw conversion in Lightroom and B/W conversion in Silver FX ProIn my camera bag
Since the picture was taken I've made a switch from Canon to Fuji. Now my normal kit is a Fuji X-T1, 35 mm, 16-55mm and 90 mm.Feedback
Walk around the room and look for interesting angles an perspective - and observe how the light changes during the day to pick the perfect time for the picture.
