Location
The photo was taken outdoors in Alcudiá, north of mallorca. I am a self taught photographer who loves nature and landscapes.Time
I was taking a walk along the beach and was lucky to catch a good shoot of this sunset on November 15th 2015 around 5:10 pm.Lighting
The sun was just about to leave the horizon so it was the perfect time to catch a good glimpse of it. Didnt need any extra light.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Sony a 77 ii, didn´t use a tripod because it was a surprising walk, no flash, I used a filter slim g-orange to make the sky look more colorful.Inspiration
This was a really great scene and view of the beach in Alcudiá, North Mallorca. I just couldnt resist to capure the sunset at that moment. The water was pretty still and no disturbing things anywhere in the water.Editing
Usually landscapes do take some post-processing but in this particular picture I only removed a small amount of noise from the water. In my camera bag
Normally I carry my sony a 77 ii with me but I also use the sony a 65 with a sony 16-50 mm lense. Second I always carry my sony lense 55-200 mm and I have a Tamron lense for macro 90 mm 1:2.8. Also a few filters neutral density ND4, ND8 and slim g-orange and slim g-blue, extra batterie, a few memory cards, my sony remote cable and sometimes my mantona tripod in an extra bag.Feedback
The best time to capture a photo like this is half an hour before and after sunset. There is only a small time span to actually catch that moment at the right time. But my suggestion is to make a few more pictures with diffrent angles and then select the perfect one at home on your computer. Keep trying. When I go to diffrent places and on vacation I figure out when is sunset and when is sunrise. It might be not much fun to get up early or stay up late, but so far I have been rewarded many times with amazing scences.
