This has been one of the wettest years I've seen since I've been in Texas (1990.) There have been a few flood years, although nothing as continuously wet as this year. So this Fall and Winter, I am surprised that, when the pond is full, even a Kingfisher decides this place is a nice place to call, "his." This is the first Kingfisher I have seen in Texas that wasn't near the coast.
