Location
In mid November 2014 I travelled to the top end of Sweden to see the northern lights. We stopped at the Kirona train station waiting to connect and saw this statute.Time
It was late evening when we arrived and the statute started to cast shadows.Lighting
All the photography blogs i read say that late evening or early morning are great times to shoot. The snow falling gave the background a more interesting glow..in my amateur opinion :)Equipment
I have a great starters camera. Its a Canon eos1100d. It was the shop display model so i got it at a great price and the lens comes with image stabilization which is great at low light photography.Inspiration
Its great to learn as you go, i took a few different shots , different angles and such. It is a amazing statue of workers cooperating, moving forward and a timelessness that is interesting.Editing
With the Canon camera, they provide a free dvd which you can download free software which you can use to inhance your pictures. I cropped and changed the lighting a little. In my camera bag
As well as a standard tripod from Minolta i just bought a tamron AF 70-300mm lens.Feedback
I am afraid to offer advice as i am very much an amateur. But there are so many great photographers online with blogs, videos and even on this site i have read great advice and have got great motivation from people on this site.
