This photo was taken on an empty beach we found in South Africa, while hiking the Cape of Good Hope! Out of the month I was here this day was one of the most memorable. Even in the winter the beach is wonderful here.Time
This photo was taken during a hot day ironically during the winter in South Africa. We started hiking early in the morning, with sweatshirts and scarves, and by mid-day (when this was taken) we had all stripped down and went for a swim shortly after this photo was taken.Lighting
I did not use flash for this photo.Equipment
As much as I hate to admit it, I used my iPhone 5 to take this photo.Inspiration
At the time, I was just trying to capture how beautiful and untouched this beach, as well as this day was. This photo doesn't show the beauty in its entirety, but it does show a little bit what we saw this day.Editing
No I did not.In my camera bag
Normally just my Nikon D300, as well as my zoom lens. I am an amateur when it comes to photography, so this is all the equipment I use.Feedback
My advice, do not over think when taking a photo, just let the natural beauty show through. I quickly snapped this picture on my iPhone, and it came out rather nicely.
