Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at Lynde Shores Conservation Area just south of our home in Whitby Ontario Canada.Time
This was taken at 7:30pm on Remembrance Day November 11th, 2015.Lighting
The photo was taken at a very low angle in order to draw the eye of the viewer completely down the path.Equipment
This was shot "Hand Held" on a Canon T4i using a Canon EF-S 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 IS Lens with an attached UV Filter and Circular Polarizer.Inspiration
There was always a desire to use "Leading Lines" to guide the eye of the beholder...this seemed like a natural shot to take advantage of this photographic technique.Editing
I did some post processing in Lightroom 5 to try and lighten up the even sky and bring out the colours. That's about it.In my camera bag
I currently still have the Canon T4i and also have a Canon 60d and a Canon 80d...I am using my Canon 60d as a webcam for my on-line videos and I primarily use the Canon 80d with a Tamron 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens. This lens is a beast. I also use a Canon 100mm Macro for my close up shots and some of my Portrait shots.Feedback
I have learned to look at the world through the eyes of a photographer. When I come across an interesting scene as in this photograph, I try to see everything as colour, composition, lighting. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...the main thing is...don't ever give up...that "Once in Lifetime Shot" could be just around the corner!!!
