I know it isn't proper to take photos during Thanksgiving prayer, but I couldn't pass on this shot of my dad. My dad has been an inspiration and a role model since I was a little boy. Today, he is still my father, but he's also a great friend. He's worked hard his whole life to provide and make the world a better place, not only for me, my brothers, and mother, but for his community and those he meets on a daily basis. I never had a want or need that he hasn't fulfilled. When I made mistakes, he's been there to guide me and offer words of encouragement. My dad has taught me that the finer things in life don't cost money. He's taught me that character, honesty, integrity far outweigh the riches and materialistic gains. A person's legacy doesn't depend on what they take with them when they die, but rather, what they leave behind. I fear the day that he dies, but I know his legacy will live on.
