This shot really defines why I love wildlife and wildlife photography. Taken at the Tomales Point Tule Elk Reserve, CA. A wonderful place where many tule elk roam free along the ocean front. 7+ hours of driving... 5 hours and 11 miles of hiking... and this shot makes that day even better. You can see wildlife in zoos, more controlled environments, etc.. but there is nothing like seeing an animal like this in their natural environment, where you are truly just a visitor.
