Fantastic night time image. Colours and depth in this image are superb, an excellent shot of natural against artificial light. Brilliant capture!

Location
The photo was taken on top of the mountain "Rigi" in Switzerland.Time
It was about 2 o'clock in the morning, when I've taken this picture.Lighting
I've choosen something between "not to much light because of the light pollution" and "hoping to have enough for a shooting star"... if there would be one and it would be visible in the clouds ;-)Equipment
Nikon D810, the 14-24 f2,8-lens, tripot, remote controlInspiration
In fact, I was really upset because of the cloudy/misty sky. It was the night of a little meteor-shower and in direction of the milkyway there was really nothing to see because of the clouds. So I've tried it in the other direction. Thougt, if I can't catch a shooting star, at least I have a (hoping) nice picture from a nightly view over the lakes "Vierwaldstättersee" and "Zugersee" and the surrounding cities.Editing
Not very much... little bit Lightroom. I don't have the patience to spend much time to edit and post process a picture ;-)In my camera bag
Only the cam and the 24-70 f2,8-lens.Feedback
Patience and luck because of the clouds/weather, a warm jacket, something to keep you awake, not to much spectators if you jump around behind the tripod because of the low temperature ;-) and a little bit of craziness to stand a whole night on top of a mountain...
