You know, on a website filled with all types of incredibly talented photographers, It sure is easy to begin to take a neutral stance on otherwise outstanding photography. This image has truly inspired me, I haven't had a "wow" moment in awhile. Thank you for the inspiration!

Hey Carty thanks for your kind words. I always try to wow my audience with my images, but when somebody states such wonderful comments this inspires me too :) :)

Location
This Photograph was taken on the famous WW2 shipwreck the SS thistlegorm in the Red Sea. It was discovered by Jacque Cousteau and has full cargos still onboard. Including motorbikes, locomotives, plane parts etc. Which were all destined for the allied troops in egypt.Time
The photograph was taken at dusk.Lighting
The lighting resulted through the use of underwater lights: Red behind the motorbike to light the sediment in the water to create the shards of light.Equipment
OMD EM5 Olympus - No tripod - 8mm panasonic lens - Underwater lightingInspiration
The inspiration of this photograph came from remembrance sunday in the UK. We honor the dead service men with poppies, and the circular wheel with the red light reminded me of all the men who lost their live on this shipwreck.Editing
Post processing included minor white balance, sharpness and vinetteIn my camera bag
Nauticam underwater housing - 8mm panasonic - 12-50mm olympus - 60mm olympus - nauticam macro convertor - inon z240 strobes - various underwater lights and gels.Feedback
I work in Tv and on the shop floor one of the most important tool is lighting. It can delete imperfections and create mood for example. with this photo it is like the smoke in the studio creating the shards of light through the spokes of the wheel. The smoke is substituted with the sediment in the water.
