Me and my girlfriend decided to go on a spontaneous camping trip to Mavora Lakes despite the -3C temperatures, fortunately there was plenty of dead wood lying about so we made it our challenge to keep a big fire up as long as possible!
This lake and the surrounding woods were used for the filming of Boromir's death and Sam's (almost) drowning as he went out to follow Frodo on his boat in Lord of the Rings so it was pretty cool for us Tolkien nerds to see it!
