Location
This photo was taken in a park near my town in Massachusetts many years ago. Even this park is close to the Highway 495, it is still very quiet and beautiful.Time
For 2 or 3 years, I was very enthusiastic about sunrise, sunset, and foliage photography. After settle down all morning chores, I rushed to the park as early as possible because of catching the good lighting on the leaves. Around 8 o'clock, I could get the golden light on the trees. This picture was taken at 7:47 am, October 19, 2015.Lighting
The time of sunrise is varied, so I needed to be at the same place many days in a row to observe for catching the best moment.Equipment
My lens was not good enough. It was Nikon 24-85 that was I could afford at that time. The camera was Nikon 750 that I still use it now. I tried to get richer color, so I set the tripod for long exposure, Shutter speed 1.3, F 25. Fortunately, there's no wind so I could set the slow speed.Inspiration
Foliage scenery with good light always attracts my eye that I spend a lot of time wandering in the woods. I'm never tired of shooting this kind of picture.Editing
I take picture in Raw file, so I need Lightroom or Photoshop to transform it to Jpg. Sometimes, I don't have much to edit them, just click the preset to make the color and lighting richer. In my camera bag
In 2015, I had Nikon 750 with 24-85 mm lens and Tamron 70-300 mm. I didn't use the tripod very often for carrying less weight bag. More backup batteries and memory cards are surely with me all the time.Feedback
If I need to drive a long way to a park, I don't imagine any particular scene in my mind because the reality could be different. However, the local park is easy to reach, I will visit it many times for observing the good timing for beautiful light and keep shooting till I get some pictures I like.
