The light as the clouds broke was this beautiful warm color that really brought out the green in the grass surrounding the falls.it was coming from the west and illuminated the water.Equipment

The thing I loved about this spot was being behind the falls. The contrasting image of the steep cliff and the waterfall against the flat, grassy plane beyond was gorgeous.Editing
It was pretty simple opening up the shadows and bring out the highlights in Lightroom. The lighting was right in the cameras wheelhouse.In my camera bag
I'm currently carrying two bodies - the 5D mk III and an Infrared Converted Canon 60D. Unfortunately the 60D's shutter died right before the trip so I didn't have it here. I typically carry three lenses. The 24-105 f/4, 16-35 f/2.8, and 35mm f/2.0.Feedback
Be flexible when you're on trips. I was coming back to my hotel from a day trip 3 hours driving each way. I visited this spot the day before and it was grey and unflattering. When I was heading back to the hotel, the sky in this area suddenly broke. Having several days in this area meant I could change my plans with the very finicky Icelandic Weather
