Out of 3 people from our group, only my Samsung S5 smartphone cam was able to capture the rich colors of this subject. I ended up taking everyone's photo in this pathway after it emptied out for a minute. No filter.

Took a shot of this famous landmark at Inari Shrine in Kyoto, Japan in July of 2015.Time
It was a gloomy, rainy mid-afternoon when my friends and chanced upon this empty pathway, while everyone else were desperately trying to get the other pathway empty for their shot.Lighting
Since I vowed to only use my cellphone camera, I only use available lights all the time and definitely no filters.Equipment
Although I was very happy to have learned Basic & Advanced Photography in College from a very good & known Photographer, I have decided to stop using a pro-cam and just capture stills using only a cellphone camera (a #SamsungGalaxyS3 then, and currently a #SamsungGalaxyS5 now for me). I thought that is the bigger challenge -- when you're limited to a point-and-shoot gadget and manage to create good illusions through your compositions and available lights at any given time of the day.Inspiration
The shades of orange are some of my favorites. I knew I'd be able to shoot all 5 friends with me on this pathway before everyone else discovers it was empty at that moment. immediately saw the depth and imagined how I could capture its rich colors all in a span of a minute. And so I started with a 'rare' empty pathway. My version had the best, vibrant oranges! :)Editing
The most I do to my shots is to crop. Nothing more.In my camera bag
I just carry my Samsung Galaxy S5 on my pocket - always ready for anything my eyes may "see". No more, no less.Feedback
Anything you see may be an interesting subject. Two people may be looking at one subject, however no two people will see it the same way. It is how you envision that illusion in your mind that leads you to how you will capture that subject despite how limited everything else is at that instance.
