Location
This photo was taken on the Lake Ontario shore in Toronto, Ontario, late summer last year.Time
Late afternoon.Lighting
The Sun sets just a bit to the right of Ruby's (beautiful) head, with some back light and dramatic skies, I was pleased with the results.Equipment
EF 24-70mm f2.8 MK2 mounted on Canon 5D MK3, handheld, natural lighting.Inspiration
I think that photo reflects Ruby's story - along with her brother we adopted her from streets of Bosnia last year and brought to Canada. She's been good puppy, very loving and brave.Editing
Basic post-processing in Adobe Elements, converted to BW using Silver Efex Pro.In my camera bag
5D MK3, EF 70-200 f4 IS for street photography, Zeiss 21mm f2.8 prime for landscape and EF 24-70mm f2.8mm sort of everyday lans, usually on the camera. Induro tripod with acratech ballhead.Feedback
Shooting low angle emphasized confidence of the subject and took advantage of the nice cloudy sky as the background.
