Location
This photo was taken in Nîmes during a trip I did back in 2013 around Europe.Time
It was a February mid-afternoon.Lighting
I didn't use any artificial lights, just the sun!Equipment
I used a Canon 5D Mark Ii and a 24-105 mm lens for this shot.Inspiration
I just googled "Nîmes", which was on my route to Portugal and I found out there was this Roman Arena in the city, so I decided to stop there and take this shot.Editing
Yes, after a few adjustment in Lightroom I had to straighten and crop the frame before finishing with an extra grading in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I usually take my Sony A7s with a 24-70 mm Zeiss lens and a 70-200 mm Canon lens with a metabones adapter. A tripod, an eMotimo TB3 for timelapses and a couple of ND filters.Feedback
When you plan to visit new Countries or new cities, always check for buildings, monuments and stuffs like that so that you don't miss the opportunity to take some shots like this!
