The traditional dhow is a sea vessel primarily being used by the Arabs as fishing boats as well as trade ships to neighboring Middle Eastern countries. But at the dawn of oil-age, this has been forgotten little by little and its shipmates have moved on to a more modern type of sea vessel, from commercial to leisure. Today, majority of the classic dhow are being used to attract tourists and the new generation of locals alike; giving them a glimpse of the past while traversing the city in the sea of modernity.
