This a great framing, i love the light, but next time i would recommend you to use a longer f.stop so everything is sharper, try 5.6.

Location
This is a shot of Bodie Island Lighthouse on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I had already shot it from the other side, looking east, but since it was later in the evening, I wanted to try to get the sunset involved. When we got around to this spot, I knew it was the right place, but it was very tight to pull off the road there and squeeze out for the shot.Time
This was taken at sunset, one of my favorite times to shoot. Sunrises are are second on that list, only because I like to sleep in.Lighting
I had to time this right to get the light on in the lighthouse, long exposures helped with that since it was rotating.Equipment
Canon 7D Mark II, Sigma 70-200 f2.8 @ 97mm, iso320, varying exposure times for HDR.Inspiration
The field in the foreground was what caught my eye. No road, no buildings, no peopleEditing
I used Nik HDR EFX for this shot.In my camera bag
What I carry in my bag depends on where I am going. I usually try to carry a Canon 17-40 and a Tamron 11-16, plus a Sigma 70-200. Tons of accessories (remotes, batteries, pocket knife, filters, etc) and a flashlight or 2 or 3.Feedback
Shoot just after the sun drops behind the horizon, and keep an eye on the clouds. Clear skies have little color variation, but then again, that may be what you want.
