Hi this photo was taken back in summer 2015 in my mother’s flower garden in the yard of my childhood home here in Eastern Kentucky.Time
It was taken I believe that evening because I think the best natural lighting is of the later evenings when the sun isn’t so high and harshLighting
The lighting was beautiful! The summer glow makes subjects a much warmer color and for me that’s more appealing to the eye.Equipment
Only equipment I used was my hands and a macro lens added on to my standard camera lens.Inspiration
The main thing that inspired me to take this photo was my mother, she is the one who planted the flowers I love to photograph so I appreciate her and appreciate the beauty of nature, I love summer time so much and it’s my fav season and I enjoy being outdoors capturing all the beauties of nature that God has blessed us with.Editing
I did do a bit of saturation and clarity on this photo with my editing Software Lightroom. I use adobe Lightroom as well as adobe elements for editingIn my camera bag
I have my canon T6 camera body, my old faithful 50mm lens and my fav 85mm lens is what I always have in my on the go camera bag.Feedback
For me the best time to capture beautiful still life and nature photography is waiting till evening when the sun isn’t so high up and it has its warm evening glow going on and try to shoot in shade as well. Being in the shade and upping my iOS has helped me get some great shots without having to use a flash or be in direct sunlight.
