Like it my friend, but as a judge the affect on the water tells me you have over sharpens in post processing, please don't be offended just an observation!

When water takes on the effect you have here it usually is caused by over sharpening the feathers also say the same thing. However if the light was extremely severe it can have a similar appearance

That picture was taken on the Petitcodiac River that runs through Moncton, New Brundwick. The river is subject to a Tital Bore. The only adjustments to the heron pictures I took that day was for exposure.
