I was given the vintage car by a photographer friend who was cleaning out her stash of props. When I was asked to do 2nd birthday photos for my friends little boy, I knew immediately what prop I wanted to use. I included the leather jacket to bring back that retro 1950's fun and hip look. This image has been one of my favorite to date birthday shoots. It fit this adorable boy perfectly and you can tell he really enjoyed it himself, which is what I try for with my clients.Editing
Yes I used Lightroom to add my own personal unique editing style to it. I have been working to find a unique style of editing that is from my own creation. I did not use any presets this was done by hand editing with a style that is very unique and has took me months to develop. I am still learning as I go, but I do enjoy making my images "pop" off the screen.In my camera bag
Nikon d7100, Nikon d3100, Nikon d90, 35 1.8, 50 1.8, 85 1.8, 35 1.4 sigma art, 55-200, 18-55, and 60 mm 2.8. I also have an old Praktica film camera that has a 50 1.4 and I enjoy taking it out and playing with it, just not crazy about the cost of developing. My flash is the only thing Canon in my bag and an awesome friend of mine gave it to me. It means a lot and I wouldn't have it any other way.Feedback
I picked up my very first DSLR Feb. 2014 and haven't slowed down since. To know that all the nights I spent watching late night youtube tutorials for hours is paying off feels good. If I can give any advice it would be DON'T GIVE UP. Photography is a world that is ever changing and advancing. So we all are essentially newbies to something in this art. So don't let your lack of experience make you stay away from your passion of photography. Keep pushing yourself to try new things and become the best photographer you can be. You will never achieve your goals wishing yourself better, no it comes with dedication, drive, and passion. I'm so thankful that no matter how many times I felt like giving up in learning something new, I kept pushing through. I think of how many amazing images I wouldn't have captured for myself or my customers if I would have given up. You have to realize photography is a gift to this world. Photos are the very essence to our history and our future. Without photos our world would lack all abilities to relate with past generations and culture.
