Location
This was on a visit to Tulum, Mexico at Mayan Ruins. I cropped out the temple on the hill on the right so as to center the scene on the sea and the palm on the left. It was very overcast and a bit dark due to an eminent rain. And it did rain. In fact it poured and we got soaked through and through before we could get back to shelter. But for me it was worth it to get one of my favorite shots. I particularly like the way the light, clouds and water combine to create the mood.Time
Between 12 noon and 1 PM.Lighting
Just the natural light.Equipment
Used a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100, hand held.Inspiration
It is a place I had always wanted to see and photograph. So when I got there and saw the weather rapidly changing from a hot sunny day I was very disapointed but decided to get what I could while the rain held off. But when we got to this spot I was awed. And just had to shoot it.Editing
Other than the cropping I really don't recall but I very often tinker with the color and light. Not sure if I needed to with this or not.In my camera bag
Camera, Spare storage chip and spare battery.Feedback
This was so serendipitous that I really can't give any advise other than, always be ready for the unexpected.
