This photo was taken at Bromo national park , indonesia. I was on phototrip tour with a group of 8 people.Time
This is one of my fav photo, I took this foto during the golden hours after the sun rise. I was there since 4:00 am waiting for the sun rise but the cloud was ruining the sunrise. after the sun a litte bit higher than horizon , I saw it illuminate the valley beautifully. this when I took this picture.Lighting
for landscape picture , it's better to take it early in a day or end of the day when the sun low at the horizon. This is when the color pop up. The lighting on this picture only last for more 15 minutes so you have to ready to take the shoot. don't leave the scene so soon after the sun rise. spent your time to wait for magical lighting, u would never know what waiting for you.Equipment
I use Canon 70D with 18-135 mm lens and tripod for this shoot.Inspiration
I remember an image similar with this in my mind before I took the shot. I saw the picture in magazine and taken somewhere in italy.Editing
I use photoshop to Dodge and burn some area so it will more look brighter.some area in the hills and hut. I'm not a photoshop user actually , and only can use some basic tools of PS. I mostly use canon dpp software to process my raw file. that's good enough for me.In my camera bag
My main camera is Canon 70D, I always bring my fav lens : 70-200 mm F2,8 MK II and also kit lens 18-135 mm and 10-18 mm for landscape photo trip. I use some filter like ND400, CPL, and Gradual ND 0.9. , remote shutter.Feedback
Indonesia have a lot of beautiful landscape scenery, and I'm lucky to live in this country. but to get a good picture , you have to know what picture you want to take before you take the shoot. You can search in the web or photography magazine to see sample from some of good photoghaper. put it in your mind and executed it when you on the right time and spot.
