Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken on the Museum Reach section of the San Antonio Riverwalk. The Riverwalk welcomes many vistors to San Antonio every year and is a must see. The new section is more about keeping fit and beautiful lansdscaping than Riverwalk resturants, bars, and vendors that make up the entire downtown section.

Time

It was taken on a Sunday afternoon, sometime between 1 and 3 pm.

Lighting

Bright day.

Equipment

I took this photo way back in 2007 with my first ever digital camera, a FinePixs6000fd. I bought myself the camera when I retired from 30 years of teaching. Always enjoed photography, had a film camera, but once I began teaching had little time for hobbies except during vacations.

Inspiration

I love flowers, not exactly sure why but I have a facinations with them.

Editing

Didn't touch the photograph for an entire year until 2008 when I bought myself my first Photo Editing Software, Photoshop Elements 7. Cropped it square and that was about it, didn't know how to do much else. Everyone has always liked this photo so I never touched it again.

In my camera bag

My equipment bag now has improved somewhat over the past nine years. It now includes a Cannon 70D , two lenses both Cannons, Lens hoods and an array of filters, extra batteries and SD cards.

Feedback

Enjoy what you are doing! The most important thing I have found is having a good eye and a picture in focus. No software can really fix an out of focus shot.
