Location
This photo was taken on the west coast of Vancouver Island we were hiking in the Pacific Rim National Park, a beautiful scenic walk in the rainforest with a lot of very old interesting trees.Time
It was taken probably around 2pm.Lighting
Being in a rainforest the lighting was not particularly good although there were pockets of sunlight coming through the trees.Equipment
This was taken on an Olympus UTough -3000...a very simple point & shoot.Inspiration
I loved the look of this tree it reminded me of a reindeer and it was just very interesting to look at as were many in this rainforest.Editing
Cannot remember doing any post processing on this photo...if I did anything at all it would have been sharpened a little. In my camera bag
I usually have a cloth for my lens, a mini tripod and always carry spare batteries.Feedback
Do not really have any advice but I would say that this West Coast of Vancouver Island(Tofino area) is particularly beautiful with a very rugged coastline and moss covered trees in the rainforests...lots of good photo opportunities. I didn't take as many photos as I would have liked while hiking in the Tofino area as being from Australia I was a bit nervous about the possibility of running into a bear!
