Location
This shot was taken on a fishing trip to go deep sea fish. We got stranded when the motor went out so I pulled the camera out and started shooting the sunrise. I am self taught so shooting in low light was a good experience builder.Time
This was around 6am central time. You know the old saying “red sky at night sailor’s delight. Red sky in the morning sailors take warning”Lighting
As I said, it was low light and I hadn’t shot in low light much. So to get a nice shot it took some time.Equipment
At the time I was using a canon rebel TS 6.Inspiration
I just love photography and I thought this was a special moment in an awkward way.Editing
The only thing I did was crop a little bit to enhance the sun and I had to use exposure or it would have been too dark to see the waves. In my camera bag
I normally carry a macro lense 50mm. A 50 to 250mm lens. A 80mm macro lens. A fisheye lens. A flash and a miniature tripod. Of course my camera canon eos 80DFeedback
Just hang in there. It can take a while for the shot you feel good about. Also remember sometimes what you see on your camera you may not be that fond of but when you get home and start to really dig in you can find you have a gem.
