This photo was taken in late spring of June 2013, at Crescent Falls. Alberta. Located in the picturesque Rocky Mountains along the David Thompson Highway.Time
This photo was taken on a dreary mid afternoon. The rain had just finished and we were not sure we could get down close enough to look at the falls. A lot of flooding in the entire area and most parks were closed.Lighting
It was a very dark overcast day and we just got lucky enough to get in and take a picture before it started to rain again.Equipment
I only had my iPhone 5 with me as I did not want to risk slipping or falling in the very wet and muddy landscape and ruin my camera.Inspiration
I love waterfalls. The Crescent Falls is one of my favorite falls in southern Alberta. We had never seen this much water tumbling over the falls in spring. This was a flood year and the speed of falls was amazing..the sound was exhilarating. Summertime you can actually walk down and walk under the falls.Editing
Nothing special was done to get this photo looking like it is. No editing or special lighting. In my camera bag
Normally we have a Cannon Powershot in our bag.Feedback
I don't think I was trying to hard to get a shot of these falls like I did. I just wanted a memory of that day and my sights. The best shots are those we just take and don't really set up for.
