Location
This photo was taken in my beautiful hometown of Bristol.Time
It was a warm summer evening and the sun was just starting to set over Harbour. This photo session was all about inspiration. My friend writes his own music and tends to look for his inspiration in his surroundings, this is one of the places he would go - the beauty is breathtaking.. He would listen to his favorite pieces and look for ways to improve it.Lighting
It was a golden hour - a holy grail of a soft and warm light that makes colours pop in the softest way! I adore backlight and the golden hour, in my opinion, is the perfect time for setting the right mood.Equipment
Canon D3200 and my trusted 35mm lens.Inspiration
I love capturing people that have a passion for creating! There is something special about someone who loves doing something so much it's like breathing to them. It resonates with me in every way, seeing other people do something they love as much as I love photography. Isn't it like magic? Being able to stop the time and freeze the moment, returning to it every time you look at a photo? Painting with light? Pure magic! And this is where I get inspiration - from other people that understand THAT feeling of wanting to show the world from their point of view. To share that magic.Editing
To set the right mood and let you feel what we were feeling right this moment I would try and process it as close to the real-life as it was - a little bit of contrast, lift the shadows, warm light, soft-focus center to bring out the main subject and minimal sharpening. In my camera bag
Besides my Nikon camera, 99% of the time I would use either 35mm or 50mm fixed lenses. They do wonders for portrait photography and gives me the look I absolutely love.Feedback
Golden hour! Need I say more! And be you. Share the story you're telling. You have this opportunity to freeze the time! Use it! It doesn't have to be perfect - if that's how you see the world around you, that's how you should show it!
