I love wandering off to the coast when life gets stressful. I never grew up around the ocean, so I always feel like little kid whenever I visit. Brookings, Oregon is the closest town on the coast and is about a 2 hour drive from my house. The Oregon coast is so dramatic and diverse. Every point and small bay is different than the next, which makes photographing and exploring so captivating.

This image was taken in early July of 2015. The sky was completely clear all day, then the mist started to roll in right as the sun started to set. I walked around this small bay and found several different compositions. This large piece of driftwood really grabbed my attention and fit so perfect with the sea stack, cliff side, and sun set.
