With Steve (pegleg) in mind I decided to try and show how I shot this. It was slightly overcast so the light wasn't super bright even thou it was about 1 pm in the afternoon. ISO was at 100 as I wanted the sensor to be the least light sensitive. I adjusted the f stop to f-16 so I could complete the exposure triangle with 1-30th of a second. The hardest part of getting this shot is to make sure you follow your subject horizontally with little to no vertical movement with your camera and if you look close you can see that I had some vertical movement in this shot because the subject (the motorcycle and rider) isn't super clear. You also want to make sure your subject is crossing you evenly not coming towards you or going away.

On ya Ron...love and admire the way you have presented this and explained the technique.....the only thing I got right was I made sure the subject was crossing me (in front of my car at an intersection).....ended up with a totally different effect!!!!!
