Location
This photo was taken at the Valley View (Gates of the Valley) in Yosemite National ParkTime
Valley view is one of my favorite spots in Yosemite National Park to photograph. One thing I love on this place is the gorgeous reflection of the mountains especially especially when the sun is low (sunrise/sunset). The view is breathtaking!Lighting
I wanted to take a photo of the View valley during sunset when the light hits the walls of the mountains, creating a golden color and adding beauty to the water reflection.Equipment
Nikon D800 with 16-35mm Nikon lens. A tripod and remote trigger were also used.Inspiration
I love nature photography and Yosemite is one of my best places to capture the beauty of landscape. Yosemite experience to me is incomplete without a visit to the Valley view. The reflection of the water is what made this place amazing, more apparent on sunrise or sunset.Editing
White balance in Lightroom and spot healing brush tool in Photoshop to remove few water debris. In my camera bag
I started taking photos with Nikon equipment and became a fan of this brand. They are reliable and I'm comfortable using them. These are the gears that I usually take with me doing outdoor photography: Nikon D800, 16-35mm, 50mm f/1.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, 28-300mm. Other accessories such as Lee filters, remote triggers, and extra items.Feedback
Patience - one of the most important things to have in addition to gears and skills. Nature and landscape photography is very rewarding despite the challenges we go through (harsh weather, fatigue, hunger/thirst).
