Greats shot, we have a painting in our house of this bridge and now we will be visiting San Fran next year. Hope I can get something half as good as this.

Beautiful image of my favorite city. Just there in July. You have captured it wonderfully. Bay Bridge and "The City".

What I like about this picture most is that it has been photographed many times by many people like me...from the pier, not this perspective and the difference is why this one is so gorgeous. The city framed in the lower right along with everything else. Outstanding creativity!

Location
Treasure Island is one of my favorite spots in San Francisco to photograph the San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridge. It amaze me all the time to watch the beautiful colors of sunset with the bridge and the city skyline. I have considered myself as one of the lucky photographers who live in the Bay area, close to San Francisco.Time
I always love to photograph Bay bridge with San Francisco skyline at the background during the golden hour. Photographers that are familiar with the Bay area weather would agree with me that it is not always easy to get perfect skies over the city.Lighting
Lighting can be a challenge because of the fog, which is a common weather phenomenon in San Francisco. There were times that I had to pack up and head home because of poor visibility.Equipment
This is my first test shot of the new Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens. This was my dream lens and if it was not for my brother, it would have remain a dream. Induro tripod AT313 and a third party remote trigger were used.Inspiration
I never get tired of capturing the beauty of San Francisco. This is one of the many beautiful sunsets of the Bay area and I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.Editing
Minimal exposure adjustment and cropping were done with Lightroom. Few more minor adjustments in Photoshop to complete the post processing. In my camera bag
Here are the contents of my bag: Nikon D800 with Nikon lens (16-35mm f/4, 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8), remote trigger, Lee filters, extra battery packs, headlamp, and few other things.Feedback
Patience and determination will get you to where you want to be. Have fun!
