I wonder if he ever smiles. He is so serious. Great capture of this child. I will pray for him and his family. I love this.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in Nigeria - in a Mining & steel plant.

Time

It was hot sunny day. I was doing my Industrial photography for a steel plant.

Lighting

this boy was doing his regular chores. I was framing for a mining background and unexpectedly he came on the frame. If you see closely the focus was not clear on his face but on his neck. What made me took this picture was his expressive face and the timing.

Equipment

I have used Nikon D5300 and the EXIF is : Nikon D5300-F7-1/60-ISO 100-18-140mm focal length 122mm handheld. CC welcome.

Inspiration

the expression of this boy and the atmosphere. it was an unplanned click with composite using PS CC 2015

Editing

I had a great difficulty to shift the focus from his face as it was not properly focused. I have composited using Adobe Photoshop and incorporated background, color matching and color correction.

In my camera bag

I am a huge fan of DSLR's. I always carry Nikon D7100 - Nikon D5300- Canon EOS 7D-Canon EOS 5D mark II- two light weight light stand, one lightweight tripod, couple of speedlights, rechargeable batteries, tri-reflector, Garry fong Snoot.

Feedback

There are no rules in photography. Remember the photographer and his creativity does things not the camera. Break the rules.... and "CLICK WITH ATTITUDE".... Amen. Love from Africa. Ram
