The Indian Wild Ass grazes at dawn and dusk and is one of the fastest Indian animals. It can clock speeds close to 120 km-hr, although cannot sustain it for long, tiring easily. It's only habitat in the world is the Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary in the Little Rann of Kutch Gujarat, India which is internationally recognized within the framework of UNESCO's Man and Biosphere programme.
