He's my darling Cocker Spaniel. He helped me through college by being my emotional support. I love him to death.
Edit: I'm glad photography exists and that I will always have this picture to remind me of this darling boy. You are greatly missed, Rocky.

Location
This photo was taken in my family home, in the hallway to be exact.Time
I honestly could not tell you the time of day. I was actually going to the back room to do a creep up on a critter bothering the bird feeders. Maybe late afternoon? Hard to say because doesn't matter what time of day it is, we get all sorts of critters out in the country.Lighting
The built in flash was used...plus I think he was facing into the back room, so the window light was getting him a bit.Equipment
Straight up Canon Rebel. That's it. Everything else was enviromentalInspiration
What inspired me huh? Well...honestly, it was a random shot. I saw Rocky sitting there all cute and shaggy. He's getting up in years, so I wanted something to remember him. I have plenty of photos of him after a bath and looking trimmed and proper, but not the way I love him best. Shaggy as all get up with those puppy dog eyes that show that young dog spirit (or him trying to get treats). You may think it's an old boy stare, I beg to differ.Editing
Pretty sure the only post-processing done was to turn it black and white. Maybe played with contrast and the like.In my camera bag
Ah, jeez, I don't know. I got a lot of random cheap things purchased from Amazon that I have been playing around with to help with photo taking. Couple of filters, lens attachments (fish eye, wide angle, macro), and a telephoto lens. If I could remember what the specs were, I'd tell you but, eh, I don't.Feedback
When taking animal pictures, sometimes treats will help. Or if your pet is well behaved and listens, you can coax them into what you want them to do. Me, specifically for this picture, I just said stay and snapped a couple of quick ones. No true thought or technique went into this. Photography is a hobby and I just go with what I like and feel looks the best. Sorry. I am the most unhelpful clod ever. JUST HAVE FUN!
