This was taken from under the S. Lamar pedestrian walk over bridge in Austin Texas.Time
It was 4am when I took this. Why was I under a bridge at 4am? Legitimate question. I was following two local street art legends who were pasting up new work around downtown.Lighting
Lighting? There was none. :) City lights actually look their best in the middle of the night.Equipment
I was still carrying the Nikon D800 at this point. This was on a tripod of course, some sort of carbon fiber tripod by some italian sounding company.Inspiration
I loved the reflections of the city lights. I saw this spot and knew there was something worth capturing there.Editing
Oh yeah. Lots of post work. Mostly LR adjustments and a little bit of Niks HDR tool.In my camera bag
I am currently using the Sony mirrorless A7r and A7s. BUT ... the new A7rii is on order and will be in the bag in a few weeks once Sony starys shopping it.Feedback
To get a shot like this set your iso as low as possible, your f-stop as high as possible and adjust the exposure to around 10-30 seconds, depending on the strength of the lighting. Works every time!
