I took this shot at our beach house in the Hamptons on the Atlantic ocean.Time
Full moon July 3, 2015 at 9:45 p.m.Lighting
There is little light pollution on the beach and the storm clouds and mist added to the interruption of shooting this full moon. I set the iso at 1600 which is very high for me but it worked in this stormy lighting.Equipment
This was shot with my old Canon SX520HS full zoom and hand held.Inspiration
I started a moon shot project in January 2015 to shoot the moon every month. I wanted to try and get different visions of the full moons each month of the year. The project was a great learning experience for me!Editing
Not really just a little contrast adjustment. In my camera bag
Always a lens cloth and a small led flashlight.Feedback
Keep tract of the night sky calendar in your area for best locations for times and direction for moon rise and moon set. Try and find dark sky away from artificial lights and be patient...the sky can change in seconds!
