Behind The Lens

Location

I have taken this photo at the Krohn Conservatory Butterfly exhibit. One of my favorite portraits. I love Butterflies and I was determined that day to try to capture those busy butterflies that were flying every where. Finally captured one. I would say it took me a couple of hours to get the right shot.

Time

It was taken during late noon. not exactly sure the exact time

Lighting

I always like to use natural light when I can and set my fstops and iso on my own. I rarely use the digital auto I use the Manual to keep the fstops/iso fresh in my mind

Equipment

My Canon Rebel just the normal lens, the place was to crowded to use anything bigger. No Flash it was all natural light the building was all glass windows so all the light from the outside came through

Inspiration

because I am intrigued by butterflies so when I can I try to capture they are so quick and always on a go. So the challenge is the fun part.

Editing

I just used my iso at 200 and I dont remember the Fstop at this time but probably 1/500

In my camera bag

I always have in my camera bag 75-300 mm zoom, fish lens, wide lens, filters because I just never know what I will need until I see what I have to focus on.

Feedback

just be patient because eventually they will land and it would be easier if you use a zoom in so you dont scare the butterfly away
