Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a pond I frequently visit near my house. It's so photogenic, and every time I visit there's a new sight to behold.

Time

It was around the evening, probably 6 or 7 in the fall, when the days were getting shorter.

Lighting

This was taken when I was a less experienced photographer and still used my phone for pictures, but I chose that location because there was the perfect amount of sun to not be overbearing or too dark.

Equipment

This was shot with my iPhone, before I got a camera; I've always loved photography, and was thrilled when I could learn more technical methods of photography.

Inspiration

It almost looked like a dream, with the reflection in the lake, and the light pink outline in the clouds; that's what I wanted to capture, the fantasy like quality.

As I'm still starting out in photography, I don't tend to carry much. Occasionally I use a tripod, and along with my camera, that's all!

Feedback

My advice is to see what is unique about your environment, what makes it different, and highlight that. Anyone can take a picture; make your viewer feel something.
