Lago di Sorapiss is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful lakes in the Italian Dolomites. The surreal blue colour is apparently a result of fine rock particles been carried down by the glacier above. In July the Alpenrose flowers providing a spectacular contrast to the striking hue of the lake.
