Behind The Lens

Location

I have always loved watching nature, so I was thrilled when this beautiful spider showed up in my garden in front of our house to make his/her home. It is not often you get to see a writing spider and I was awestruck to be able to capture its beauty and its artwork for the world to see for years to come.

Time

I do not remember the day or month. I would say mid-morning in the summertime, perhaps July or August because the Black-eyed Susans were in their blooming glory. That is when they are at their best here in Virginia.

Lighting

I take pictures just for me, what I like, and know I would enjoy looking at for years to come. Mother nature provided the proper lighting and scene for the rare spider to be caught by the lens of a camera.

Equipment

Just my camera, nothing else was needed or used.

Inspiration

His/her beauty, the amazing web, and the sitting. I could not have planned it better.

Editing

Nope, you see what the camera and I saw. No adjustments were required or needed.

In my camera bag

Being we live very near the National Park I rarely carry a camera. I let nature come to me. If the National Park has an animal, we also have those animals. I do lay the camera on the table on the front porch just in case. I have not been very good at sharing my animal shots.

Feedback

Be aware of your surroundings and keep your eyes atoned to everything around you that presents a special moment in time.
