used my Canon EOS & it was handheld with autofocus on, As I mention the background was dark & that helped make the flower stand out.Inspiration
Walking out my driveway in the morning I see these flowers early in the morning as they start their process of blooming, day by day I see the steps before they are in full bloom. I just wait for the proper light & take the fotoEditing
I adjust brightness to darken the background even more & saturation & contrast to see if the foto improves. I'm not really to savy on photoshop.In my camera bag

wait for the proper lighting, take your foto on different times of day. Each lighting situation gives you a different foto opp in the Chicago are I have photograph in the middle of the day, due to the sun being in a low angle. During the summer time I look for early morning light or early evening light. Many people tend to put their cameras down after sunset, but there are still many fotos after the sun has set in the horizon.
