Location
I took this photo during the walk near the Baltic sea with my friends. Actually I wanted to make some landscape pictures that day. But thanks to god I had my 85 mm lens in my bag. So I took some portrait photos too.Time
This photo was created in the morning. The light was very soft and it was really pleasure to work with.Lighting
It was one of the rare moments when light was absolutely fantastic. The main problem was to manage to catch this good light.Equipment
I used my fantastic Canon 5D and 85 1.8. Nothing else was needed.Inspiration
As I wrote before I was thinking about taking landscape photos that day. But when I so soft light coming from the sky and eyes of my friend Jana I understood that I need to shoot some portraits too. I have found the place to photograph from above to place emphasis in the eyes.Editing
I made some crop and convert to black and white. I also made corners a little bit darker and face lighter. I also added some contrast to eyes.In my camera bag
The first thing that I always have in my bag is my Canon 5d. Actually the word "thing" is not correct one. This is my friend. I am not joking )) I love him very much. I also have 3 lenses - 35mm L, 135mm L, EF 85 1.8. I also have some filters (ND, UV, macro). Sometimes I have also tripod and flash, but I took them only when I know that I need them.Feedback
just try to catch the light and look of the model. I think light and eyes are two things that will help you to make good portrait. Eyes are the mirror of the soul. But the light is most important thing in our life and in photography as well.
