Thanks for liking it. It was taken at a drive thru safari near San Antonio.

This was taken at Natural Bridge Caverns animal park. As you can see, its a drive-through park. It is near New Braunfels, TXTime
The time od the day was about mid afternoonLighting
In anticipated this shot, so I used my on-camera flashEquipment
I used a Canon EOS 60D with a Tamron 18-200 zoom lensInspiration
In an animal park, it is best, of course, to be in the front passenger seat. I took plenty of out the window shots. I also noticed how excited my friend was in the back seat. He wasn't scared of the closeness of the animals to the car window, so I anticipated this kind of shot showing an interaction between him and the zebra. However, this came out better than I expected. The fast shutter speed and the flash help capture a moment in time that is almost too fast for the eye to see.Editing
I'm terrible with computers, so post-processing was simple and minimal. It's been a while but I think I just used sharpening and a little brighteningIn my camera bag
My bag has several lenses, but I usually leave it at home. I shoot very quickly and don't like to get bogged down with changing lenses. If I know where I'm going and what I will be shooting, I usually leave the bag at home and just take the camera with the zoom lens above.Feedback
People go to drive-through animal parks to take photos of the animals, but always be aware of other possible subjects. Some people laugh at an on-camera flash, but it certainly helped here. An auxiliary flash would have been a little big in this little car. Plus, this way was faster.
