Location
I took this photo in my front yard.Time
It was shot around 3 pm on a cloudy day.Lighting
It was slightly overcast day, so there was soft natural light on the flower.Equipment
This was shot with a Minolta Maxxum 5D with an 80-250 lens, handheld and no flash.Inspiration
I love shooting flowers and this one was absolutely perfect with no blemishes.Editing
Yes, I did some levels adjusting and also used a softening filter in Photoshop elements. I played with several different filters until I achieved exactly the effect I wanted. In my camera bag
Now, I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3i with an 18-250 lens, and 18-55 lens, shoe mount flash, several filters and a set of extension tubes.Feedback
Shoot what you love, don't be afraid to shoot the same thing from different angles when possible, use software and experiment with different editing features till you find something you really like.
