"The Night Watchman"
Asking somebody to hold still for a 30 second exposure is kind of mean, but that's exactly what I did when my friend Stephen Ippolito was setting up to shoot a panorama of North Windows Arch at Arches National Park the other night. I looked up to see this composition and knew it had to be captured.
Mike Taylor, Stephen, and I had clear skies and the Windows Arch-Turret Arch areas to ourselves for the entire evening after 4 days of gloomy cloudy weather. It was a stunning scene we had waited for for days, and the patience and perseverance finally paid off
ISO 5000
Aperture f-2.8
Shutter 30 seconds
Nikon d810
Samyang 14mm
