"Orange Rose" was taken in my home in my living room.Time
It was during evening hours. I kept staring at it; and was pretty pleased that the rose lasted as long as it did (I DON'T have a green thumb. At all)Lighting
Since it was evening, there were no light source, except the TV set and I definitely wasn't going to use it as a light source.Equipment
I used a basic digital camera - Sony Cybershot. That's it. While at design school, my instructor taught me an inexpensive trick for filtering or softening the flash - masking tape. Seriously.Inspiration
I've never seen a rose so vibrant in color, so I wanted to capture it. I mean, there were no blemishes on the rose. Rare.Editing
At the time, Adobe Lightroom was released, so I decided to test it out with my photo. I really dig the features in Lightroom are top-notch.In my camera bag
I don't have an camera equipment bag of sorts. It's a single small satchel. And my camera is the only thing in my satchel.Feedback
Follow your gut when capturing a subject/object. Don't try to emulate other photographers. Be unique - do YOU.
